Jennifer Taurman is a social studies teacher at CEC. She was born and raised, through elementary school, in Denver’s Northside community (36th and Alcott) and is a proud graduate of Denver Public Schools. After high school she received her BA in History from Ithaca College and her MA in Education and Human Development from the University of Colorado Denver. Jennifer began her teaching career in the fall of 2011 in DPS and has taught a variety of social studies classes including: a senior capstone class, AP U.S. history, civics, and more. Outside of the classroom she can be found with her family (husband James, daughter Bea, and son Liam), friends, reading a good book, or spending time in the mountains.
