Video Game Design
Originally from the Chicago region, Dr. Moriarty completed her B.A. in Mathematics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She began teaching math for Denver Public Schools in 2002 at Manual High School and moved to CEC the following year. In 2007, she completed her M.Ed. in Educational Technology from Lesley University, and received her doctorate in Education from the University of Colorado-Denver in 2014. She has been recognized as a distinguished teacher by her district and is the recipient of the 2017 Presidential Award for Excellence in Math and Science Teaching. She currently teaches Video Game Programming at CEC, a hybrid of mathematics, coding, and game design course. Dr. Moriarty is an avid reader and gamer, and also enjoys the outdoors and playing piano.
