Benjamin Friesen is a Language Arts teacher, new this year to CEC. Ben recently moved back to the US after teaching English as a foreign language in Germany and Morocco for seven years. With a BA and MA in English writing and literature, Ben is an avid book nerd with a passion for stirring up the creative artist in all students. An active writer himself, Ben has published a few stories, poems, and articles, and is working on a book of poetry and novel series – whenever he is not chasing after and changing the diapers of his 2-year-old. Aside from reading and writing, Ben loves swimming, biking, exploring cities and mountains with his wife and daughter, and using an intricate rating system to classify falafel restaurants.
