Which Career Technical Programs are offered?

What are the relevant schedules for part-time students attending CEC?

As a part-time student, it’s essential to be familiar with both your home school’s and CEC’s bell schedules, along with the school calendar and transportation schedule.

Who is eligible for part-time enrollment?

Denver Public School students that are incoming 10th graders; please review program requirements for age restrictions.

How are students prioritized for acceptance?

Our application process will follow a blind lottery system. We will use randomization software to ensure fairness and equity.

Full-time and returning part-time students will receive priority, only if:

• They are continuing to Year 2 of their current CTE program.
• If they are interested in switching to a different CTE/career course, they will be placed in the lottery for random selection.

There will be two application windows:

1. First Window: The lottery selection will take place soon after the DPS SchoolChoice application window closes.
2. Second Window: Once available seats are confirmed, applications will reopen on a first-come, first-served basis.

With the shift to a lottery system, we encourage counselors and applicants to carefully review the success criteria for each program, including the success criteria specific to CEC, so students fully understand the expectations, certifications, and college requirements for each class. (This can include attendance, grades, and specific requirements for the individual programs).
