We have a busy week ahead with schedule changes, testing, and two opportunities for families to connect with us! Here's what you need to know:

Monday, Oct. 12: No School – Family Conferences
Conferences by appointment, 12:00–7:00 PM.

Tuesday, Oct. 13: PSAT/SAT Testing – Grades 9, 10, 11 (No School for 12th/PT)
Students arrive by 8:20 AM with a charged Chromebook and charger. No hats or hoods during testing.
Most students will finish around 11:30 AM (unless they have testing accommodations).
Buses run as usual.

Thursday, Oct. 15: Parent Meeting: Coffee & Connect, 8:30-9:30 AM, Cafeteria
Join us for coffee, treats, and conversation! Share your ideas, explore ways to get involved at CEC, and connect with our Community Hub partner to learn about helpful resources, including energy assistance for eligible DPS parents and grandparents in our area. Plus, a few fun giveaways!

Friday, Oct. 16: No School – CEC Planning Day
Part-time students may still need to attend classes at their home high school

Saturday, Oct. 17: Saturday School | Homecoming Dance, 7-10pm

CEC Picture Day is Monday, August 31! Fiscus School Images will photograph ALL students during their designated class time (Grades 10–12 & PT: CTE class | Grade 9: Career Exploration | 12 FT CCD: before school, AM or PM session

AM Session: 8:20–10:50 AM
Break (No Photos): 10:50–11:20 AM
PM Session: 11:20 AM–3:50 PM

Photos are REQUIRED for all students to receive a school ID.

No money is needed at school. Families will receive an online gallery to view and order photos, which will be shipped directly home.

IT’S TIME! The First Day of School is Here, Monday, August 24!

We’re excited to welcome everyone back to CEC! A few important reminders:

Check Your Schedule on Student Portal and print or write it down to use on the first day. Questions with schedules? Counselors will be in the Cafeteria from 8:00–10:00 AM to help.

Review bell time, bus schedules, and other important resources at the link below under Student Resouces. Please note, you must be at bus stops 10 mins before departure!

All Cellphones & other PCDs must be turned off and out of sight at all times while on campus.

And finally, registration must be complete to attend class.
