Rachel Patton is the Chemistry teacher at CEC. She was born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama, where she developed an (arguably) unhealthy love of Auburn University sports. But instead of attending Auburn for college, she moved to New Orleans to attend Tulane University, where she fell in love with real football–rugby. She played for the Tulane Women’s Rugby Club all four years of college, and then for the New Orleans Women’s Rugby Club. It was while attending college in New Orleans that she decided she wanted to be a teacher, and she has been teaching high school science since graduating in 2007. She moved to Denver in 2017 with her husband George, and when she’s not teaching, she loves exploring the outdoors with her husband and dog.
