I was born and raised in Denver and am a proud graduate of Manual High School. I was a scholarship athlete at MSU (DII Women’s Soccer) and have coached soccer for many years, too. My B.A. is in Political Science with a minor in Philosophy and my M.A. is in Religious Studies with a contemplative practice focus. I have been teaching for 9 years and this will be my second year at CEC.
In 2018, I traveled to Rwanda to participate in a teaching fellowship that promoted the sharing of teaching ideas across cultures. Plus, I was able to go on Chimpanzee treks and visit an island which was only populated by large fruit bats. I enjoy playing Camogie and Soccer, as well as running 5ks and 10ks. In the winter, Snowshoeing and Cross Country Skiing keep my husband and I busy. We also enjoy traveling and our last trip was to Ireland. Both Geography and Civics are passions of mine and I look forward to sharing them with my students!
