Ms. Caldwell is originally from Kansas City, Missouri, who moved to Denver in 1997. After playing collegiate soccer for two years, she received her Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training from Metropolitan State University of Denver. While working part time in medical clinics, she decided to attend Georgia State University in Atlanta, Georgia for her Master’s degree in Sports Medicine. Missing the mountains of Colorado, she quickly moved back to Denver in 2007 after working for the University for 4 years. Upon her return, she began working in Denver Public Schools as an Athletic Trainer for Denver North High School. While at North she also was a Special Education Paraprofessional and the School Technology Resource. This is where her passion for education began. With an opportunity to formally teach Sports Medicine in the secondary classroom, she developed and taught Sports Medicine at Vista Academy in DPS. She made the leap to administration and in 2017, she began her journey with CEC Early College as the Pathway Director and Assistant Principal. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling and hiking these beautiful mountains and seeking new beauty throughout the USA and abroad.
