Aaron Stites is a graduate of Colorado Mesa University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology/Criminology and a minor in Psychology and Business Administration. He also attended the University of Denver where he earned his teaching license and a Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction. Aaron teaches 9th-grade social studies (Geography and Civics) at CEC and has a passion for students discovering their own voices and power to plan for or create change and to push students to think outside of their own context. Aaron has previously worked as a state probation officer, director of an education program in the country of Nicaragua, and a teen homeless shelter program coordinator. In his spare time, Aaron enjoys traveling in Colorado or outside of the country, being outdoors (camping, hiking, skiing, etc), spending time with his wife and dog, watching sports, completing home improvement projects, and passing time with close friends and family members.
